with the exception of under the hood my restoration is complete on my 1968 vert 4sp HO car. I have accumulated a lot of parts for my tribute WQ motor.
I am one checking to see if there is a source that has all the necessary part numbers to complete this motor all the way down to accessory brackets.
What I got. WQ block 16 heads Correct intake manifold Correct pan Correct carb
I figured those are the most difficult to find parts What else do I need to make this correct. If aftermarket parts can be used and won’t matter that is fine. I do plan to by the ram air brand long branch manifolds as that seems best way to go. Any help and ideas is appreciated.

You will need the 90 degree oil filter housing if you need it. The correct Distributor. 1111449 , What fan are you going to run? Flex, clutch Fan? Alternator, starter, Wire shield. Coil.
Lofts of pieces. Just need more information what you need or what your looking for.
Well, I dont have any other componets than the ones I listed. I am trying to determine what I need to buy OE that can be identified and what i can buy aftermarket that will go unnoticed.

any more specific on finding those correct pieces. what makes them more identifiable over replacement parts. or better yet how come they cant be replaced in the eye of a pontiac professional

I should have said valve covers too. In my opinion, if it is a tribute, externally it should appear correct. Internally, you should feel free to do whatever you need/like. And it depends on how far you want to go. Starter, distributor and alternator will also give an opportunity to appear correct. Then if you do that, do you then go corrrect appearing brake booster, radiator, routing of fuel and brake lines, plug wires, etc.

I have 1111449, correct flex fan and spacer..Correct Hurst shifter linkage and bracket (rebuilt and plated) water pump, alternato, TVS and correct vacuum lines, pair of correct HO manifolds.
Without semantics.. they are all correct pieces. All are dated and all are last half of 67 and fan is Jan 68.
