so cant figure out what the correct fan should be for 68 400HO 19"? no clutch fan? normal rotation? any help would be great. I am using the stock fan shroud but am replacing the radiator with a 3 core aluminum to protect my investment in the engine. any link to a source to buy from would be great

Both can be correct. 19" power flex 5 blade stainless steel was standard. The 17' 7 blade clutch fan was an upgrade option but came standard with air condition.
ok how about the fan spacer? does this make any difference? what size should it be?

The spacer may need to be swapped for a different thickness if you are changing the radiator out. I think the rule of thumb here is that the fan blades should be 1/2 inside the shroud, 1/2 outside. Do you know if your stock shroud will work with the aftermarket radiator?
Ok so why would a fix d fan be 19" tip to tip and a clutch fan be 17" tip to tip? Seems like you would lose a lot of the efficiency of the fan if the blades let too much air between the fan and the shroud. Unless the shroud openings were different size as well, which I don't think they were.

I installed the Champion brand 3 row Al radiator. The factory shroud does work with it, with very little effort. I had to attach using screw at the bottom of the radiator.
