If the rest of the door is good you could just reskin the door . I did my drivers side door and it will give you access to clean up the inside of of the door too.
First of all good job on the door skin. Regards to my door, my first thought was to reskin, then I wondered how the fit would be not to mention labor involved. I have aleredy put rear quarters & outer wheel houses on the bird, lot of work. Can you message or email me to let me know what to look out for if I decide to reskin verse new door?
I had my passenger door reskinned just to remove a ton of bondo over an old hit that was drilled and pulled. No rust.
A local body shop used adhesive (instead of welding) and then prepped it for paint for $350.

Well I decided to reskin my door, took about an hour to remove the old skin. Have to drag the media blaster outside this weekend & clean up the door shell.
I'm in Akron ,When I did the door I drilled locating pins in the hinges the rear to the quarter was perfect the front appeared to be short but I had a amd repop fender and that was the problem I found a oem fender from franks and that fit much better . Unfortunately the amd fender was terrible and after trying to get it to fit I gave up . Now it's just a big piece of scrap metal.
