God Bless the men and women past and present that have served this country. Thank you. Support D.A.V. - it helps gives a life back to those who gave so much for us.....
Stopped by the body/paint shop this week. She's covered in body shop dust but starting to come together! Can't wait to see her clean and see the new chrome against the white!
I don't know how I missed it but I finally got a look of you entire thread. Excellent stories about peoples cars. My Pontiac's have never been further away than a couple of miles from me starting in late 70's.
Your shop time may seem a bit behind but looks pretty darn good and faster compared to most and especially me. I'm into my 7th year. Sometimes I have taken 1+ year sabbaticals (well not really, but sounds good), but I'm doing mostly everything myself. It's been a labor of love. I have to stay busy doing something, might as well be car restoration.
You paint job turned out great. These guys must be good. Quality of work is more important than on budget time & dollars. IMO
Sorry I did not read this sooner, I would had recommended trying adding a pearl to your paint. I have a couple of cars with a pearl white and looks really good. My stock color is Nordic Blue. I have it mixed with a pearl and mixed with just stock color. If the weather cooperates and give me some time to spray a test area I will post some pics. Our summer was too hot, then too smokie and then we got snow! Next week is supposed to be better so hopefully I will get a chance to try it.

It is looking good Ron!!! Looking forward to seeing the finished work once they are done. I may have beaten you out of paint jail, but it will be well worth the wait buddy!! And just think after all the body and paint is done, then it is time to spend all that time and effort putting it back together. I want to be out there all day and night putting mine together, but my wife has other plans...lol. Keep posting the pic man!!
Well it's finally time to bring her home from the body/paint shop. It's been two years. The last four months have been waiting for color sanding and buffing. Went today to pay and to collect the other painted parts. Now the work begins, the nights, the weekends, saying good-bye to the wife and kids, yada, yada, yada. You all know the tune! Total time in body/paint- two years. Total cost in body/paint, with parts- I'm afraid to say. But I am excited to get started on the next step!! Thanks to all of you for the encouragement and advice!

What camera are you using? Do you edit the pic at all? Try editing the pick and just crop it a bit and make sure it's right side up and then try posting it. Maybe it just needs update then save to pin her down.
Thanks for the encouragement guys. Haven’t done much since she’s been home outside of assessing the parts pile and test fitting the rear bumper, scratching my head and reassessing. Good to hear from you bill, glad things are looking up!
