Ive had my 1969 for a few months and finally getting around to fixing seats that were modified. As they were raised very high. Pass side was a easy fix as past owner had stacked a whole bunch of washers to raise it. So i just removed them. But drivers side has me a little stumped as to what i may have to do or what i may be missing. Here is some pic's.
I looks like the top part of those extenders are bolted to the seat track. The seat track bolt holes should line up with the threaded bolt hole in the frame.
To see what I mean, here's a photo I took of the bottom of the driver's seat of mine when I had it out to reupholster.
Mine is a power seat and the seat tracks on mine are diff in the front then yours.. My floor has empty holes, and no threads (picture 4) but would line up tho.. But the bracket the person had used , bolted down in between those holes with one bolt. (picture 2)
Wow, if I had those suckers in my car I would have to wear goggles and cut a hole in my top! lol
The center hole (threaded) is the correct mounting hole for the seat tracks. I would remove all "welded" pieces off the tracks and then use the bolts he used to bolt down the welded piece to the floor to atttach seat frame to floor..

I will have to look again at seat but i dont think my seat track has the bolt hole in (Middle) to line up to the center threaded hole in my floor.
They sure look stock to me... and are electric seat.. Think im over looking something or missing something. Here is another pic...with that homemade adapter in place and you can see that the seat frame has no hole to line up with threaded hole in floor but outer holes in frame line up with the outer holes in my floor which are not threaded.
Realize that is a rare option. Only 1 of 400 '68s and 1 of 92 '69s had the factory power seat option.*
If you have a '69 Body by Fisher Manual, check it to see if that helps. If not, check out pages 15-36 and -37 in the 1968 Body by Fisher Manual - Section 15. Although it does not show the specific seat to frame mounting, it has diagrams of the hardware of the '68 seat. Perhaps it can tell you if your seats are stock or something has been modified so those stilts would fit on it.
