Very cool news about the Pontiac Southern Nationals. It will be held again this year in DFW. It will also happen in conjunction with the new American Southern Nationals, formerly the American Performance and Classic Car show held at Sewell Pontiac. Basically, there will be the Pontiac only show on Saturday at nice hotel setting. Then on Sunday there will be another show at the track in Ennis which will be open to all American makes and of course racing with all these cars. All hosted by the Dallas Area Pontiac Association!! It will be one of the best weekends to have your car out to play!!!
PSN anyone? I'll be there, so will Tony (TR709). Anybody else? Any HALF'ers Bjorn?
I know this DFW thread hasnt been revived in a while but I've really been on my heels! Never enough time in the day...
Anyway, the Pontiac Southern Nationals is June the 9th and 10th. Expect to see awesome Pontiacs a plenty. The car show is Saturday in Richardson like last year as well as the racing being on Sunday at the Motorplex in Ennis. This year the ASN is have it's car show at the track at the same time as the PSN racing. It's going to be an extravaganza.
Well it was a nice show Saturday with alot of nice Pontiacs. I heard the car count was about 95 and I think that was about correct. I had a blast, hung out with family and friends, and saw a lot of nice cars. It was about 10 degrees cooler than last year as well. Here's some phone pics from Saturday. I took home a Gold award for my class 67-81 modified F-body.
Thanks Bjorn, Tony (tr709) took the gold for the original class with his 67 convertable. I was really happy for him as well, his car is simply gorgeous.

It's time for another great car show. This Saturday the 20th DAPA will host the American Performance and Classic Car Show at Sewell Cadillac in Dallas. Formerly a BOP only show it is sure to be full of Nice Pontiacs. Anyway I plan to be there, as well as Tony and another first gen'er that I know of. The weather is supposed to be great and Sewell will be serving a free lunch!
I am in Frisco TX (close to Plano) if anyone is getting together. I think there were one guy in Little Elm and another in Frisco on the east side if I remember? Maybe a get together at the Texas Dream Cruise?
Anyone up for cars and coffee this saturday morning in Plano? Might be my last oppurtunity for a while so I'm planning on going. I like that it's early enough so you can go and still get all your normal Saturday errand stuff done too.

Kiddo has a soccer game Saturday morning Tony. Last opportunity? More car work or just you? And when is the Dream Cruise Marc? Of note, PSN will be in September this year.
Danny, It's my last free Saturday for a while as I'm coaching T-ball. Car is fine, still not happy with my cam & converter combo, but I'm going to mull it over for a while. Car cruises great, so that's what I'm going to do.
Marc, cars and coffee is at classic BMW, spring creek and the toll-way. It's the first Saturday of the month, from 8-10 A.M.
BTW, If you take 423 north to 380 and then up 377 a few miles, that's where I'm at. I'll shoot you an e-mail with contact info if you'd like.

Yep, you are not far from where we live. Shoot me an email with your cell. I would like to see what the cars an coffee is about.
I live in the Preston Vineyards area of Frisco and have a buddy who's been telling me about the cars and coffee event. Is this mostly a bunch of guys with new or newer cars or are there some vintage muscle cars that show up?
I'm the guy farther east in Frisco and am all for this. That's why I started the thread about the Texas Dream Cruise a few weeks ago. It sounds like it could be a very cool show and if they get good enough turnout it will probably become an annual event. Try to get anyone you know to show up to check out the cars even if they don't have something to show. Any other smaller local shows that you attend?
