Steve - add their information to this thread please so I/We can get out a e-mail out to the members.
I told the guys and gals the membership in MOFO is mandatory and that they have been drafted. :p BUT, FGF ownership is all the dues they'll ever have to pay.
looks like you`re 'getting there' too! good luck on your MOFO subchapter! we wouldnt mind being put to shame ,that would mean you guys got a GREAT get to gether!
Let me know. It'll be around $22.00 each. No profit for me. I'll bring them to our first MOFO meeting! (I can update the months to be current, say, month #1 would be July 06.)
Scott, Just sent you a PM then found this thread by checking your recent posts. Jason, the 70 GTO guy that won a second place in his class at Burdette has a 67 400 4-speed coupe but in pieces and bare metal currently. Is a CA car like mine. Lives in York, PA so may be a little hesitant to join in due to the distance. Comes to Hagerstown, MD for races fairly frequently, though.
Great turnout. Look forward to hitting some cruise-in's and having a FGF row! Lots of stuff local to me going on now, too.
York is less than 1 hour from downtown Baltimore, so that's definitely not far. If he races pontiacs, he's probably on the Outlaw Pontiac site... http://www.outlawpontiacdragseries.com .
Steve, we could definately eat you out of house and home. Make a list of food items to bring so we can each bring something with us. I can make any date except the Carlisle show weekend. That's when I collect much needed bird parts.
Scott, forwarded the e-mail with the links to the guy in York so he can check it out and contact us. Looking forward to the first meeting/event. We could make it an informal gathering at an existing local cruise-in, maybe. Take some of the pressure off for planning, etc. OK, Overhaulin' is back on. Later.
Hey guys. My name is Jason, I live in York. I am a member of the Outlaws, infact I run the BBS for them. I have a 2005 GTO A4, Phantom Black with red interior.
I'm working on a 67' Firebird 400 4 speed, Mayfair Maize with Black vinyl roof. Hope to hang out with you guys.
OK, guys, All GM Carlisle...who's going? Anyone driving the Firebird? It's time for some more parts. I am getting down to dressing up the engine compartment. Some of the parts houses display at the show. If you order ahead, they may bring it with them to the show. The more you buy, the more you save on shipping. Pays for the Carlisle rip-off entrance fee, parking and maybe a few drops of gas! I am taking off the 23rd to get there early enough to see the good parts. Anyone else?
The weather report is showing 60% chance of rain on Fri and Sat with Sunday being okay, but that's when folks are packing up. I hope the weather report improves as we get closer to the event.
I'm looking forward to some NOS parts to finish the car with.
Sorry you will miss it Tim. Maybe we can catch you at the Hagerstown show one Saturday evening. That would be a great event for the MOFO meeting.
Concerning Carlisle, the weather is predicting "isolated" storms 30 % chance of rain all three days. I'll take a chance, bring an umbrella and maybe get wet to buy needed parts. I have someone meeting me there with a new door skin I need to pick up. I need some other sheet metal stuff to be picked up in person.
I've heard Carlisle may be loosing the use of the grounds after this year.
Anyone else going to Carlisle??? We could all meet at the Ames booth so wherever.
They wouldn't be losing the use of the grounds... they own them. There's just some uncertainty about the fate of the National Guard Armory ground that's currently used for overflow parking. The thought is that once that National Guard unit gets Strykers, they might increase their security and disallow anyone on their grounds. Seems a silly thought to me, but since it was brought up, it's something they need to investigate. I think the only shows it could have an impact on would be Spring and Fall swap meets, when there is no parking on the grounds.
I'm up for a meet sometime in Hagerstown. I'm also open for further East meetings. If anyone knows of any cruise-ins or the like around Frederick, that's definitely do-able for me.
OK, I am leaving from my house at 6:30am tomorrow in Middletown. 1991 Escort going if anybody wants to carpool. Three seats are open. It's a hatchback so it can carry some stuff. Most of what I intend to buy is fairly small. PM me if you plan to go. I hope to be there by about 8 am to get started.
