Firebird’s sports-styled instrument panel conveniently recesses instruments and telltale lights in two round bezels.

Newly designed lens and block-type lettering provide easy reading of instruments.

Instruments illuminated with new, soft blue light for appeal and converience.

New sports-type speedometer features accurate, full-range indication.

°

Bright chrome instrument panel control knobs and bezels are clearly labeled for easy identification.

°

Heater controls, ashtray and optional radio controls are centrally located in an attractive burl wood grained trim plate, framed with bright metal molding.

°

New, larger instrument panel pad has thick leading edge.

°

New air outlets at instrument panel ends provide upper level ventilation.

°

Instrument panel courtesy lamp, ashtray lamp and glove box lamp are standard.

Inside day-night mirror with deflecting base.

Exclusive “Firebird” emblem decorates the glove compartment door.

 
 

Interior Trim:

Firebird interiors boast comfort-contoured, slimline Strato-bucket front seats. Strato-bench front seat is available as an extra-cost option on hardtop coupe only.

Seat cushions and backs are finished in all expanded Morrokide and enhanced with attractive dielectric embossing.

°

Thick, nylon-blend, loop-pile carpeting covers the entire floor area.

°

Carpeting lower trim pads on doors are color-keyed to match floor area.

°

Upper door and rear quarter panels are finished in padded vinyl trim.

°

Durable, easy-to-clean, vinyl-coated headlining is standard in the hardtop coupe.

°

Newly designed front and rear armrests are standard, with rear armrests containing intergral ashtrays.
