TEMPEST CUSTOM EXTERIOR STYLING

Notable Features at Front and Side:

Tempest Custom is “big-car” in concept—carries custom quality with a sporty flair. Like full-width, peripherally reinforced front bumper; gracefully sweeping hood and integral cowl-vent grille; a new, “scamper” look from front to rear. Result: The long-hood, short-deck image of Tempest Custom for ’68.

Bigger stand-up dimensions: New wheelbases of 112″ and 116″. Wider, 60″ Wide-Track posture at front and rear.

New parking lamps, just below the front bumper, share a common lens with new side marker lights.

Roof drip scalp molding is optional on the Custom Hardtop Coupe. Window frame and pillar scalps included optionally with other Custom models.

Full-length rocker panel moldings—long, low and bright—point up the sportiness of Tempest Custom from front to rear.

Pontiac “Vee” Crest accents crown of the front bumper.

Notable Features at Rear:

Newly styled rear bumper houses stop, tail and backup lamps.

Lower rear panels and shorter rear quarter panels enhance Tempest Custom’s clean, low lines.

“Pontiac” block letter signature signs off the Tempest Custom rear view.

New “Vee” Crest side marker lights provide positive rear side identification at night.

Specific Exterior Appointments:

“Pontiac” nameplate is mounted on the left front grille.

“Tempest Custom” insignia adorns the front of each front fender.

“OHC 6” emblem is mounted at front of right and left rocker panels.

Bright, chrome-plated hub caps enhance each wheel.
