LE MANS EXTERIOR STYLING

Notable Features at Front and Side:

Le Mans for ’68 comes on with a look of sporting nonchalance—the long-nose, short-tail profile of movement.

Bigger stance all around with wider Wide-Track at front and rear.

New 112″ wheelbase for Coupes and Convertible—116″ for 4-door Hardtop.

The new front bumper carries the Le Mans motif—full-width and peripheral in its big-car sweep.

Full perimeter, swept-hip frame design creates a low sill for easier entrance and exit.

Bright metal wheel opening moldings, rocker panel moldings and decor group moldings are standard.

Parking lamps and all-new side marker lights share same lenses.

Pontiac “Vee” Crest emblem adorns the center bumper crown.

“Pontiac letters-on-bar” decorate the left grille.

Notable Features at Rear:

Integral bumper housings at bumper ends contain stop, tail and backup lamp assemblies.

Newly styled rear quarters are short and low to underscore the Le Mans styling key.

New “Vee” Crest side marker lights give a new dimension of visibility at night.

“Pontiac” name in individual letters is mounted at center of rear-end panel.

Specific Exterior Appointments:

Attractive “Le Mans” name appears on rear quarters, right and left.

New recessed windshield wipers continue the uncluttered Le Mans look. When not in use, both linkage and blades lie low beneath the hood line. Left blade articulates to sweep a wider glass area on the driver’s side.

“OHC 6” emblem is mounted at front of rocker panel moldings.

Bright chrome-plated hub caps contribute to Le Mans sporty appearance.
