Date Code on a Carburetor

Short answer: On 1968 Quadrajets the Julian date code can be near the model number on the body, on the base at the rear, or (on some early-1968 carbs) missing entirely — e.g., the RA I 7028277 is often found with no date code. Early-1968 carbs are the most likely to lack it or have it on the base.
