Leaf Spring Bushing Removal

Insert a round hacksaw blade through the bolt hole, reassemble the saw frame with the blade inside the bushing/eyelet, and cut from the bolt hole outward — almost to the steel but not nicking it (a cut in the steel could later crack the eyelet). Make two such cuts near each other to free a triangular piece, pry it out, then grip the remaining outer lip with Channellocks and twist it out (cutting the backside lip with a flat blade helps). Polish the eyelet with a wire brush and sandpaper before fitting new bushings. After the first one, they go quickly.
