TEMPEST EXTERIOR STYLING

Notable Features at Front and Side:

Tempest for ’68 has the bold and sportive profile, established by a full-width peripheral front bumper, new lean body lines that carry through the long-hood, short-deck personality.

New wheelbase dimensions—112″ on the sports coupe, 116″ on the 4-door sedan—emphasize the celebrated Wide-Tracking stance.

Parking lamps nest unobtrusively below the front bumper, share a common lens with the new side marker lights.

Flowing body, side and roof lines carry the Tempest theme of sportiness. Long, low bright rocker panel moldings add wheel-to-wheel accent.

Notable Features at Rear:

Deep, recessed rear bumper clusters stop, tail and backup lamps at outer extremities.

Shorter rear quarter panels and lower rear panels maintain the clean, sporty appearance.

Pontiac “Vee” Crest side marker lights provide added rear-side visibility at night.

“Pontiac” nameplate at rear center, signs off the going-places view.

Specific Exterior Appointments:

Handsome “Tempest” signature appears at front of each front fender.

“Pontiac” nameplate graces left front grille.

Pontiac “Vee” Crest emblem crowns the front bumper.

Distinctive “OHC 6” emblem appears at front of both rocker panels.

Bright chrome-plated hub caps grace each wheel.
