Notable Features at Front and Side:

Horizontally mounted, dual headlamps with fully recessed horizontally ribbed grille.

New full-width peripheral front bumper with Pontiac “Vee” Crest atop bumper’s bold, center section.

“Pontiac” name in block letters in the left grille.

New, long sweeping hood underscores the all-new look for ’68.

New, longer, 116″ wheelbase.

Clean, side styling accented with bright rocker panel molding, extending from front wheel opening to rear bumper.

New, low, roof line carries the Tempest theme of smart sportiness.

Parking lamps, below bumper, wrap around to share a common lens with side lights.

New rectangular side marker lights provide side identification at rear quarter panels.

Notable Features at Rear:

Massive, one-piece wraparound bumper houses backup lamps.

Tail and stop lamp assemblies are mounted vertically above bumper on outer extremities of body.

Block “Pontiac” letters, set on horizontal molding, are mounted at center of the tailgate.

Bright metal tailgate window molding is standard.

Specific Exterior Appointments:

“Tempest Custom” signature is placed just behind the front bumper.

“Pontiac Motor Division” clearly defined on the chrome-plated hub caps.

“OHC 6” emblem graces extreme forward area of rocker panel. (“350” emblem replaces “OHC 6” insignia when optional V-8 is ordered.)
