CATALINA EXTERIOR STYLING

Notable Features at Front and Side:

The Catalina for ’68 speaks with strength and boldness. Its keynote—the wide, massive, peripheral bumper that surrounds the horizontally mounted dual headlamps, creating a clean, sweeping design.

A gracefully curving belt line and smoothly contoured rear quarter lend distinction to Catalina’s side appearance.

Body side styling is further emphasized by a long peak line, which is accented by a narrow vinyl, insert molding, color-harmonized to exterior paint.

Bright metal moldings trim and protect all wheel openings.

Newly styled parking lamps share a common wraparound lens with new side marker lights at front.

Front side marker lights utilize amber bulbs and clear, colorless plastic lenses.

Exclusive Pontiac “Vee” Crest adorns the strong, bold bumper center.

Notable Features at Rear:

Catalina’s rear-end styling theme is accented by an all-new, full-width wraparound bumper.

The wide tail lamps turn downward at outboard ends, integrating body and bumper.

A narrow, bright chrome, horizontal molding complements the tail assembly, completes the rear-cove view.

Backup lights share a common housing with the stop and tail lamp assemblies.

“Pontiac” name in individual letters is centered on the rear-end panel.

Specific Exterior Appointments:

“Pontiac” name is mounted on the left grille.

“Catalina” name in individual letters appears at front of both front fenders.

Dual-speed, articulated overlap windshield wipers are concealed under the hood line and there’s a faster washer response as the new pump saturates the windshield with solution well ahead of blade action.

Rear side marker lights, in attractive “Vee” Crest design, are standard.

“Pontiac Motor Division” letters decorate the centers of the bright chrome hub caps.
