SPECIAL GRAND PRIX FEATURES

Grand Prix grille with headlamps concealed Grand Prix with headlamps exposed
Eye-opening Concealed Headlamps. A G/P standard feature. They make the face of the Grand Prix stand out from the boulevard crowd. Twin-paired horizontal headlamps hide behind an unbroken line of twin grillework. When the lights go on, “eyelid” grille sections automatically uncover headlamps.

Grand Prix floor console Floor Console. The floor console, standard in Grand Prix models equipped with Strato-bucket front seats, adds custom appearance as well as sports-car flare. The console shown here is designed for the Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission and features luxurious Carpathian elm burl grain appearance finish that matches the instrument panel and door insert treatment. The console compartment provides a generous amount of storage space, and can be locked for protection of valuables. (For complete console details, refer to the “Transmission” sub-section.)

Grand Prix expansive door window Expansive Door Windows. Grand Prix again boasts expansive door windows, unbroken by conventional vent panes. This carry-over feature provides an unobstructed, “picture-window” effect to significantly enhance Grand Prix’s low, sleek silhouette.

Grand Prix upper-level ventilation outlet Upper-level Ventilation provides silent, draft-free air circulation with windows closed. Controls on individual, cowl-side panels regulate air flow to suit. Rectangular outlets at ends of instrument panel deliver outside air without the corresponding wind and road noise present with an open window.
