400 Exterior Badging
Short answer: Yes — the “400” option on 1967–69 Firebirds included the full exterior treatment: decklid and hood “400” emblems, the scooped (closed) hood, a Pontiac Crest emblem on the front bumper (all three years), and of course the 400 engine.
Also included:
- Chrome grille moldings — center moldings on 1967–68; on 1969 the molding rimmed the grille opening (except 1969 Trans Ams with blacked-out grilles).
- Chrome air-cleaner lids and valve covers, and dual exhausts (all three years).
- Floor shift came with the standard 3-speed (unless automatic was specified) — but not the console.
