Seatbelt Differences
Short answer: Firebird seat belts are the same coupe or convertible — the only difference is Standard vs. Custom (plastic vs. die-cast latch cover).
Some very early 1968s with Standard belts used the die-cast latch. Sources: used belts, restoration services (not cheap), or swap meets (repros were coming). Originals have a date code.
