Online Car Show Registry Rules

By registering and entering, you agree to these rules, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy. Rules version: 2026-06-18.

1. Eligibility

Who can enter?
The show is open to participants worldwide. You must be 18 years of age or older to register and enter.

What cars are eligible?
Only first generation Pontiac Firebirds are eligible — model years 1967, 1968, and 1969. No other makes, models, or years will be accepted. Entries that do not meet this requirement will be removed without notice.

How many cars can I enter?
You may enter as many cars as you own. However, only one account is permitted per person, managed by your verified email address.

2. Registration & Accounts

How do I register?
Registration requires a valid email address. You will receive a verification email before your account is activated. One account per person — duplicate accounts will be removed.

Can my account be suspended or deleted?
Yes. Accounts and entries may be suspended or permanently deleted at any time, at the sole discretion of the administrator, with or without notice and with or without cause. This policy exists to protect the community. Accounts involved in fraud, abuse, spam, or rule violations are subject to immediate removal.

Can I delete my own account?
Yes — anytime. Request it yourself from My Settings → Close Account (or by contacting us), and our show staff will remove your account and entries. Your personal information is permanently deleted; your entry data may be retained in archived form for historical and research purposes, stripped of all personal identifying information. Your VIN is never shown to the public.

I can’t log in, or I want to claim a legacy car.
If your old email no longer works, you had a Firebird in the show years ago and want it back on your account, or you bought a car that is already in the show, use the Recover or Claim Your Account form and we will verify and reconnect it to you.

What is the minimum age to participate?
You must be 18 years of age or older to register.

3. Entries

What information do I need to enter my car?
You will provide details about your Firebird including year, model, options, and photos. See the photo rules below.

Can I enter a car I do not own?
No. Entries must represent cars you personally own or have owned. Entries submitted for advertising, promotional, or commercial purposes are strictly prohibited and will be removed.

Can my entry be removed?
Yes. The administrator reserves the right to remove any entry at any time for any reason, including but not limited to rule violations, inappropriate content, or ineligible vehicles, with or without notice.

4. Photos

• Your main (primary) photo must be a profile shot of the whole car — a side or three-quarter view that clearly shows the entire Firebird. An engine bay, a multi-photo collage, or a close-up of only part of the car is not accepted as the main photo. Add those as additional photos.
• Photos must be of your actual entered vehicle — no bait-and-switch photos substituting a different car.
• Photos must be your own original photographs. Do not submit photos you did not take or do not have the right to use.
• Photos must clearly show a first generation Pontiac Firebird (1967, 1968, or 1969).
• All photos must be G-rated. No offensive, adult, violent, political, or otherwise inappropriate content anywhere in the image — including backgrounds, signs, or clothing.
• No minors. Photos must not contain any identifiable person under 18 years of age. Any such photo will be rejected.
• Other people need to consent. If any other identifiable person appears in a photo, by submitting it you confirm you have that person’s permission to be shown publicly on this site.
• Do not submit photos that display personal information such as readable license plates, addresses, documents, or screens.
• No watermarks, logos, or advertising of any kind in photos.
• Photos must be clear and reasonably well-lit. Blurry, dark, or unrecognizable photos may be rejected.
• By submitting a photo you confirm you hold the rights to it and grant firstgenfirebird.org a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, reproduce, and use it in connection with the show and its promotion.
• You are solely responsible for every photo you submit. By submitting, you represent that you own or have the rights to the photo and everything shown in it, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless First Generation Firebird and Oak Media Creations from any claim arising from your submission.

5. Voting

Who can vote?
Anyone who can access the Car Show from any computer or mobile device may vote. No registration is required to vote.

How does voting work?
Each visitor may cast one vote per car per day. Voting resets daily at midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST). Votes are tracked by IP address and browser cookie combined. Clearing your cookies or using a different device does not entitle you to an additional vote — vote manipulation by any method is prohibited.

Can I vote for my own entry?
Yes. Car owners who have entered a car may also vote for their own entry.

Can votes be manipulated?
Any attempt to manipulate voting through automated means, VPNs used for vote fraud, multiple devices, cookie clearing, or any other method intended to cast more than one vote per day is prohibited and will result in removal of fraudulent votes. If the voter is a registered member, their account may be suspended or permanently deleted. Suspicious voting patterns are monitored. The administrator reserves the right to disqualify votes or entries determined to be fraudulent.

How is the winner determined?
Winners are determined automatically by the system based on total votes received during the contest period. The administrator reserves the right to intervene, correct, or override results in cases of fraud, rule violations, or technical error. Administrator decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

6. Prizes

Currently the show offers recognition and bragging rights. A digital trophy or similar award may be offered. Physical or monetary prizes may be added in the future.

When prizes are offered, eligibility to receive a prize is limited to residents of the United States and Canada, subject to all applicable local, state, provincial, and federal laws. Void where prohibited.

7. Conduct & Community

All members are expected to behave respectfully. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Spamming other members through any channel including the internal messaging system
• Harassment, threats, or abusive language directed at any member
• Impersonating another person or submitting false information
• Any illegal activity conducted through or related to the site

Violations will result in immediate suspension or permanent deletion of your account.

Is there a messaging system?
Yes. A registered-members-only internal messaging system is available. All messaging rules apply — keep all communications G-rated, respectful, and spam-free. The administrator reserves the right to review messages when investigating reported violations.

8. Privacy & Data

Is my personal information shared publicly?
Information you enter in your profile and entry is your responsibility. Do not enter personal information you are not comfortable having associated with your account. Your contact information is not displayed publicly to other members.

What happens to my VIN?
Your VIN is optional and is never shown to the public. Access is tiered:

• Public & Moderators — no VIN shown
• Approved Researchers — last four digits only
• The car’s owner & Administrators — full VIN

Who can see my uploaded documents?
Scanned source documents (such as broadcast copies, billing histories, build sheets, and window stickers) are accessible only to the car’s owner, approved Researchers, and Administrators — never the public. Because these documents show the VIN as printed on them, they are protected by role-based access rather than masking.

Can I request my data be deleted?
Yes. Use My Settings → Close Account or contact us, and your personal information will be permanently removed. Entry data stripped of personal information may be retained for historical research and archival purposes.

9. General

Are the rules subject to change?
Yes. Rules may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current rules.

Are administrator decisions final?
Yes. All decisions made by the administrator regarding eligibility, entries, voting, conduct, and prizes are final and not subject to appeal.

What law governs these rules?
These rules are governed by the laws of the United States.
