Dealer Service Information Bulletin 68-I-77 – 1967-68 Turn Signal Switch Requires Positive Action
Bulletin 68-I-77 — Pontiac Motor Division Dealer Service Information Bulletin, Section 9, dated June 7, 1968. Attention: Service Manager.
Subject: 1967–68 Turn Signal Switch Requires Positive Action.
Short answer: High effort to actuate the turn signal switch is a design feature required to provide positive engagement for both the lane-change and full-turn positions; no warranty claims should be submitted for switch replacement due to this condition.
If a complaint of “high effort” required to actuate the turn signal switch is received, advise the owner that this condition exists because of the design requirement for a positive action for both “lane change and full turn positions.”
Claims are not to be submitted for the replacement of switches for this condition.
