Door Lock Assy

Short answer: The door latch (officially the “Door Lock”) assembly was different for all three years (1967/1968/1969). It is the same for Custom or Standard trim — but the inside-handle remote control (latch-release mechanism) and its link rod do differ between Custom and Standard.

If a latch is misbehaving, it may be defective or from another type of vehicle — confirm you have the correct lock assembly and the correct outside handle & button assembly for your specific car.
