Ram Air Differneces Between the Years
Short answer: The Ram Air hood baffle physically fits all 1967–69 Firebird 400 hoods. The carb shroud works on all 1967–69 Firebird 400s and 1968–70 GTOs — there were two types, with and without the heat-riser provision (the “with” version is uncommon).
There’s some debate about a “tab” on the bottom of the hood baffle (to hold the seal) — said to be on 1967s, but members confirm at least some original 1968 baffles also had it. Given the wide application range, both the baffle and shroud would be good reproduction candidates.
