Ram Air Kit for 1967-1968

Short answer: There’s no factory “kit” — you assemble it from pieces: the upper hood baffle, lower carb shroud, hood seal, shroud seal, air-cleaner lid, and open scoops. Bought used or repro, figure around $1,500 all in.

The hood baffle was reproduced by Barry Martin (Sonic Motors) on a Kirksite die (vendors sold them at $350–$425; few may remain). The carb shroud is the same as a 1968 GTO (~$500 used; a repro has been around ~$300+). Foam seals, the carb lid, and the scoops are available as reproductions (the scoops have to be cut open).

  1. I purchased a complete ram air kit in 2012 at Performance Years. I paid around $450 for the kit.
It was all metal also, not fiberglass. Works great!
