Ram Air V

Short answer: The Ram Air V was never installed in a production car — just over 200 were sold as crate engines (plus some pieced together). There were two versions: a low-deck 303 for Trans Am racing (the 5-liter limit) and a 400. Pontiac also experimented with 366 and 455 versions, but the RA V program targeted drag and Trans Am racing. The closest production engine was the 1973–74 455 SD.
