I have a 1967 Firebird with a '72 Pontiac 350 engine. It recently developed an intermittant start problem. Sometimes when I turn the key, the dash lights up but nothing happens; or, sometimes I turn the key, the dash lights up, and after a hesitation, the car will turn over normally; and sometimes, it starts normally. This happens hot or cold. The volt meter reads 12 volts when the switch is on the "on" position, and drops to the lowest reading on the meter when I hit "start". I believe it is either a loose connection at the starter, or the starter itself is going bad. The battery seems to be fully charged. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
