I took a break from the bodywork today and cleaned up and looked at the 350 block that came with my car. It's a '71 YP. One cylinder (#7) has a gouge in it (could be from rust) about 1/64 to 1/32 of an inch deep. I read in Jim Hand's book that it could be sleeved and since the pistons need to be replaced, I'm thinking of having it bored to maybe a 400. I don't need this engine and I was going to trash the block, but then I thought it might be a good project for sometime in the future. Should I or is it just a waste of time and money? The crank, cam and rods are all in good shape.
