Where correct or not , I would not key doors as ignition...not that it matters much ,mine is a convertible....so locked doors or not, make little difference...
Not sure how mine came from factory ( early 69 car), but when I bought it 2 yrs ago, door and igintion keys were not the same...doors are the same as the trunk (on mine) ,I later bought a glove box door w/ bird and key , so now I have 3 keys to the car...the glove box that came in my car had the key missing , and the door key did not fit...
