I am getting the shortblock parts together for my 455 and I am seeking some advice.
I will be using some 6X heads and I have a late model intake. I planned on using an earlier model, but I am curious if there is much advantage to doing so.
Obviously, the exhaust crossover has to blocked or filled with the use of the earlier intake. Teh question is, should I?
I live in the Pacific Northwest where temps can get pretty cool and can often be coulped with lots of moisture. I am wondering if there may be a benefit to running an intake that will warm the air/ fuel charge a bit?
We can get warm in the summer, but that's subjective as well.
What's your advice? Ditch the later intake for an earlier model? Or run it like it is?
Thanks!!
Dave
