Jim's hubs are the same as the standard Firebird hub. It's my opinion that the mysterious "taller" hubs are either a heavy duty '68-69 (because they didn't offer HD drums in '67) option, but more likely just somebody replacing a hub & drum unit with a junkyard version obtained off of a Tempest or GTO. Can you measure the taller hub, if you still have it. The flange looks like my DS from the side.
The garbage someone put on the PS side is just that.
