The fourth digit is the year 9 should be for a 69 the sixth digit should be the GM line it should be a 6 for pontiac. I can't think of the link to find this information but have been looking for a carb for my 69 and have come across this info somewhere. I don't know what the 7 means, maybe a factory replacement? Try a search for quadrajet on the internet and you might find a site that breaks down the #s. Pete
