I don't know, doesn't seem that weird to me. I wouldn't want to deal with a bunch of lookers when most ebay cars sell sight unseen. Especially if he has a bunch of them in storage. Pulling one out each time would be a PITA and worrying about thieves coming back.

Sounds like he wants a straight up sell, with no way to back out.
I'd guess he pulled in out, washed it and took the pictures he thought did the best and put it back up. What you see is all you get.
To much money out there that'll buy that way to deal with lookers and tire kickers.
