I read up on them today as I loved these as a kid and trying to sell my wife the idea it is a great toy for my daughter. She is not buying it.

The Carrera has been rated the best as their tracks are the most durable and widest on the market for 1/32 scale. I like the idea of the 1/32 scale versus the HO I had as a kid as you can do more with it and more detailed cars. I like the hot rods on the one link I posted above. Looks to be about double in price between the HO and 1/32 scale for a starter track.
