My garage is very old and detatched from my house. It is somewhat damp, and being part of military housing, is not something I can alter, even if there was a way to better seal it from the weather. While it is just large enough to fit my Firebird, I am concerned that the garage may not be a great place to keep the car. My only other options are uncovered areas, which to me seems like an obvious second choice when compared to even a damp garage. In this ever-humid environment of N Louisiana, what are some good techniques for keeping my car from rusting when it is parked overnight or when it is being worked on?
I do drive the car often, when it is working. I have power in the garage and was planning on setting up two dehumidifiers in the garage. What else can be done?
