The tach was still optional, even with a 4-speed. I always thought that was the strangest thing, and that Pontiac would mandate a tach with a manual trans, but go figure. Hood tach not available on Trans Am, stacked gauges were optional.

As for bare bones, I believe there were a couple 69 Trans Am's delivered with poverty caps.
