Like Terry said, you don't really need lead. Get hardened valves and seats plus high octane fuel. And, if you have original, unhardened valves, who's going to know it if you slip a little lead add in to coat your unhardened valves? You don't have to burn lead all the time in an old engine. Just a little, once in a while, to get the protection....
