For a while there, my father was designing modular refinery buildings for Prudoe Bay, Alaska. They would assemble them in Seattle and then barge them up & around and then hook them together.
A couple of times, they made (or were going to make) field modifications that impacted the stuctural members, so my dad had to travel up there during the winter.
They gave him a truck to use with stern instructions to NEVER turn it off.
