The specs work for alignment. The way I like to align it is to find the centerline of the body, front to back. And line the centerline of the frame with that. To find the center line you can find 'like items' on each side of the car and frame and measure to find the center. It's good to find a few of these 'like points' on the body and frame to 'check your work' to see if you have the true center...
