I removed the crank pulley from the vibration dampener on the 400 in my car. When doing so I found a part between these two pieces. It's simply a flat piece of steel that fits over the hub of the balancer with four holes in it for the bolts that hold the pulley to the balancer. Should this piece be installed on the outside of the pulley? Or is it supposed to be between the pulley and balancer? I've seen diagrams before with a similar piece installed on the outside for the prevention of the pulley bolt holes cracking out, I presume. I can't seem to locate those diagrams now though. Was this piece misplaced by a PO or am I just missing one for the outside? Thanks.
