The Hurst Competition Plus used in '68 and up was very widely used, OEM and aftermarket. OEM has two fat bolts to adjust stops, and no screws attaching handle to body, and handle offset from center of shifter body.
'68 Firebird service manual, NOT the definitive resource, does not show a Hurst imprint. I have two that do...but they are 40 years from the factory.
Compare to Tempest and GTO illustration, which clearly shows two different levers for bench and bucket, and both with "Hurst" imprint.
And '67 is flat, and not highly regarded, not Hurst.
