I would use an M-20 with that gearing, the factory didn't put a M-21/22 in any car with a gear ratio lower than 3.73. It will come off the line much better with the wide ratio box. When I had my car on the road (currently in pieces)it ran great with an M-20 & 3.55 gears in the back.
