OK. I ended up buying the car. Still not certain if it is an original Sprint or not. If it isn't, everything has been added. It has the limited slip rear with 3.55 gears, the correct intake and exhaust manifold, 4 speed, emblems, etc. Everything else matches the body tag as original as well. The engine partial VIN matches the vehicle VIN. The only thing that I can't figure out is the block code. Is the block code on the side of the block between the oil dipstick tube and the transmission bell housing? If so, it appears that it is ND. That doesn't match anything that I can find on the web for codes. It has an 'N' and then a little bump on the block and then a 'D'. The center section of the block has '9790043' stamped on the side. Any ideas guys??? Also, how do I ID what exact 4-speed it has? Thanks again! Dave EDIT..... I was looking next to the dipstick on the block instead of the 'oil filler tube' and up by the head. It is in fact a 'ZD' block. very cool! I'm glad that it is in fact 'numbers matching'! Thanks again! Dave
Good to hear ya got a little bit off the asking price. Best thing for ya to do now is get the PHS documents for the car. Most Sprints and OHC-6 came with a 3spd manual trans unless ordered with a 4spd. Post some pics!
