After checking the sites I see that the number on the back of the block is the casting number and is a 78-85 car/truck block. The engine ID code by the water pump is VH102800. It does not make sense because V is Flint, H1 should be a month like 06,02 is the day and looks ok and 800 should be 3 letters. It's called the engine suffix code. CMS would be for a 78 350 L82 Vette. I don't get the 800? I also don't get the month H1? Thanks for the help.
