I was reading in the '67 FB factory service manual about the subject item bolted onto the 6 cylinder harmonic balancer to enable raising the engine for motor mount replacement and even oil pan removal. The section for V8 engines gives a similar procedure for replacing the mounts, but makes no mention of using the aforementioned bracket. For motor mount replacement w/ the engine in place, what is the accepted method of raising the V8? At one time, I figured a board under the oil pan w/ a floor jack would do it, but now I'm thinking that may be too far back to work.
