I'm considering installing the following wheel vintique wheels:

93 SERIES BILLET PONTIAC RALLYE II

On my 67 400 Convertible. I have a few questions.

1) Will the 17" wheel and a lower profile tire improve the cornering/handling of the car?
2) What wheel width should I get (7, 8, 9.5, 11) assuming I go with a tire width of 225 or 235. My objective is to fill the wheel wells with the widest tires without modifying the wheel wells due to rubbing.
3) How do I determine how much backspacing to use?
4) What tire aspect ratio do I need to keep the overall wheel/tire height at stock levels?
5) In your opinions, do you think that the stock 14" wheels with 225/60 series tires would look better than the combination I mention above?
