I looked at it again today and it has a nut style compression clip. I looked at the Classic catalog to double check and I did see they offered the barrel clips you mentioned. Maybe I got the wrong fastner by mistake, it would be my luck Think I'll just stick (no pun intended) to using the tape that way I don't have to change out or drill my existing door.
I also need to put on the 400 trunk emblem, what's your thoughts on tape or drilling for that.
