I was going through pictures and found these behind the scenes out takes. These three were taken late on Friday August 24th. Chris Phillip, author of the story, is taking the pictures. He took about 60 or more until the sun was too low to shoot any more.
These are from the next morning. We met around 7am at the same place. He must've taken another 50 or so. Behend Chris in the first picture and across the road, you can see the Dayton Airport Hotel where the Firebird and Trans Am Nationals were held every year until last year.
Top up, top down, hood open, air cleaner off, interior, .... He took many pictures of every setup. He even took some pictures as I drove up and down the road. I may have to beg one of those off of him:)
