Well, I would trouble shoot it useing a test light. You could get the car running and try probing the Ign wire off the back of the switch...if you don't maintain constant power then I would say you have a bad switch. If the power remains constant the you may try running a new wire for the Ign side of the coil. Also I believe there is a resistor in the oem wire for the + coil...this may be the problem also. If so you can try finding the resistor and remove it or just run a new wire
