Yup! Nice looking dash. Someone asked about painting the chrome lines a while back. Hindsight is 20/20, but I suggested scraping off unwanted paint. I didn't mention it, but I learned long ago, you want to be darn careful when using thinnner on anything. (I would NEVER EVER use thinnner on plastic because it instantly eats most plastic.)
You might be able to restore the damage without repainting. I don't know what to suggest, but I'd look around for a plastic/vinal conditioner/restorer.
I don't know if it would work, and it's major expensive. 3M makes a marine-grade vinal cleaner and conditioner. (There are 2 types. The first is just a cleaner, and it has a soapy consistancy. The second type is a cleaneer/conditioner. The second type isn't that nifty of a cleaner, but it's excellent as a conditoner.)
My boat--the dang money suck--has snow white vinal seats, and the seats seemed blackened beyond salvage. With a bucket load of elbow grease and a soft bristle brush, I used the cleaner, the first type, then followed up with the second type. The results were absolutly incredible.
