Pictures would help but I'm guessing it is not the correct rear end. Mono leaf would have been correct for 67 only. Staggered shocks started in 68. You should not have any control arm brackets since our cars never came with coil springs.
I think some early diffy housings came with the ears for control arms. A shared trait for the A body.
