After printing the engine code information off of this site I tried to decode what I believe is a sprint engine. So far I have discovered that it is not the correct 4 barrel carb on the engine and the engine code that is stamped on the block pad behind the oil fill tube is as follows. "S R 6871" This doesn't show as any possible engine codes from what I printed off. Does anyone know what this engine is from? Please help. Any other areas I can look to verify what this thing is?
